‘Fond Nostalgia for Childhood’ - Paid zine submissions!
As part of our Zine Collective here at Comics Youth, we’re creating a collaborative zine!
The Brief
This zine is about ‘Fond Nostalgia for Childhood’. For clarity, childhood here refers to ages 0-13.
It must be with this colour palette:
You’ll be submitting one A5 page for the zine. What is one this page is totally up to you, as long as it fits the above brief! It could be informative, entertainment, artwork, photos, or just text! It can be interpreted any way you see fit to do so.
Examples could include:
A tour of places that were important to you in your childhood;
Games and media that shaped your childhood;
A comic or story about your childhood;
Photos or mixed media collage of photos from your childhood.
Eligibility and Details
You must be 18-25 years old;
You must be from a marginalised background (you don’t need to specify);
You must be a UK resident and have a UK bank account;
Be able to complete a page on the zine that fits the set brief*. This will be paid £90 per page;
*We can’t accept any already completed work as a submission, nor can we accept any work that has previously been published.

You must include:
A description of your page. This must include the content, how you’re planning on laying it out, how it fits the brief and any general vibes you feel are important to mention.
A link to your online portfolio
Submissions without this will not be eligible.
The deadline is 3pm, 4th November 2025!
