Recommended by Jake, this is a fantasy manga series featuring an enthralling mystery!
A girl with the power to see fae is sold to one to be his bride. Instead he offers her freedom or he will teach her how to use her ability and become a mage. A fantasy world full of twist and turns and unlikely friendships. following the life of Chise as she is taught to be a Mage by the Elias and maybe she teaches him about being a human.

The Summer Book - Tove Jansson
Recommended by Cady, this novel is full of light-hearted, calming seasonal vibes!
This story follows six-year-old Sophia and her elderly grandmother as they spend a summer together on a small island in the Gulf of Finland with their family.

Compound Fracture - Andrew Joseph White
Recommended by Evyn, this queer Appalachian thriller novel is visceral and unapologetic!
This story follows a trans autistic teen who survives an attempted murder. Throughout the story he is drawn into the generational struggle between the rural poor and those who exploit them.

This zine features a collection of art and comics exploring thoughts and feelings from pre to post-top surgery.

Tiny Book of Tiny Animals - Lyndsay Green
Recommended by Seb, this tiny zine is full of fun animal facts and cozy vibes!
Measuring only 5cm x 5cm in size, this concertina zine features illustrations of eight of the smallest animals, printed roughly life-size on each page!

Flamer - Make Curato
Recommended by Richard, this semi-autobiographical graphic novel explores themes of self-discovery and queer identity!
Set in 1995 in a Boy Scouts summer camp, follow Aidan, who is bullied. Curato was a scout and used his experience as a closeted teenager to write the novel.
Age rating: 14 and up.
Ginseng Roots - Craig Thompson
Recommended by Anna, this familial memoir explores cultural history, focusing on Wisconsin’s ginseng farming industry.
Follow Craig and his siblings, who spent the summers of their youth weeding and harvesting rows of coveted American ginseng on rural Wisconsin farms for one dollar an hour. This novel charts the rise of industrial agriculture, the decline of American labour, and the search for a sense of home in a rapidly changing world.

The Books of Earthsea - Ursula K. Le Guin and Charles Vess
Recommended by Sarah, this book is an illustrated edition of fantasy short stories, full of enchanting magic!
Le Guin’s Earthsea novels are some of the most awarded works in literature. This edition is perfect for those new to the world Earthsea, chock-full of fifty beautiful illustrations by Charles Vess. A slow-paced classic!

Because Internet - Gretchen McCulloch
Recommended by Aslan, this non-fiction book takes you on a deep dive into the history of the internet!
