Equality, Diversity & Access Monitoring
We want Comics Youth to be a place where people who have historically been excluded from the arts, youth and charity sectors can belong, contribute and lead.
Alongside your application, we invite you to complete our Equality, Diversity & Access Monitoring Form.
The form helps us understand who our opportunities are reaching, where barriers to recruitment may still exist, and whether we are living up to our commitments around equity, diversity and inclusion. It also helps us look critically at our recruitment practices and make them better.
Completing the form is voluntary. You can choose “prefer not to say” for any question, or choose not to complete the form at all. This will not affect your application in any way.
Your monitoring information is kept separate from your application and the shortlisting process. It will not be used to decide whether you are shortlisted or appointed, and recruitment panel members will not use this information when assessing your application.
We recognise that monitoring forms can sometimes ask people to fit themselves into boxes that do not fully describe who they are. Wherever possible, our form includes inclusive options, opportunities to self-describe and the option not to answer.
The information is used for equality monitoring and improving our recruitment practice, with reporting carried out in a way that does not identify individual applicants.

If the form itself creates an access barrier, or you have a question about why we collect this information or how it will be used, please contact richard@comicsyouth.co.uk.
