Start your Pride weekend with intention, connection, and creativity at our Pre-Pride Bash hosted in the gorgeous LUSH Liverpool store.
This is more than just a meet-up: it’s a safe, affirming space designed to elevate queer youth voices and honour Pride’s activist roots.
- Chant-Writing Workshop – Work with youth workers and peers to write your own Pride chants, slogans and affirmations, ready to raise your voice on the march.
- Placard-Making and Art Stations – Design bold, creative placards that share your truth and amplify the messages you care about.
- Community Meet-Up Space – Chill out, chat, and make new friends in a relaxed, supportive environment with the amazing GYRO and YPAS youth teams on hand for support.
Whether you’re feeling fired up or a bit nervous about Pride, this is the perfect space to connect with other young LGBTQ+ people, get creative, and step into Pride feeling seen and supported.

Begin your Pride Saturday in a gentle, grounding way with this sensory-friendly art workshop designed for all ages and abilities.
Led by eco-artist Aslan Herzen (he/him, ze/zem), this drop-in session offers a calm, welcoming space to slow down before the energy of the march, get creative, and set your intentions for the day.
⭐ Tear and layer recycled papers to create beautiful textures and colours
⭐ Add doodles, affirmations or Pride slogans that hold personal meaning
⭐ Make your own unique A5 collage to keep as a reminder of your Pride intentions – or turn it into a one-of-a-kind sign to carry in the march
This workshop is designed with families, children, and neurodivergent participants in mind, offering a sensory-friendly environment with plenty of flexibility and quiet breakout areas. Come for five minutes or the whole session – make it your own!

Come and join us at Pride's youth hangout space this Pride! Lots of activities taking place, plus free lunch and refreshments!
Open Mic: Step up and share your voice in this youth-led, LGBTQ+ affirming open mic celebrating the creativity, resilience, and talent of our community’s young people.
Whether you’re a seasoned performer or it’s your very first time, this is a safe, supportive space to express yourself through:
⭐ Poetry and spoken word
⭐ Music and acoustic sets
⭐ Storytelling or personal reflections
⭐ Anything else that’s true to you!
Our friends at YPAS and GYRO will be there to host, support, and cheer you on. Even if you don’t want to perform, you’re warmly invited to come along, watch, and celebrate your peers.
This is about community, visibility, and owning your truth – in a space where you’ll be heard, respected, and celebrated.
All levels and abilities welcome – whether you’re an experienced performer or trying it for the first time.

Gyasi has always loved performing! As an adult, he turned this passion into a career, landing his dream job as a CBeebies presenter. He hopes his new book, But Dancing Is For Girls, will inspire the next generation to do the things they love—no matter what.
This special Pride event will be his very first public reading of the book, ahead of its launch in August!

Pride is rooted in protest, visibility, and creative resistance. Verses of Resistance is a powerful, hands-on workshop inviting you to explore these themes through poetry, zine-making, and illustration.

⭐ Write your own “verse of resistance” – poetry that challenges, celebrates, and claims space
⭐ Design bold protest posters, zine pages, or art pieces amplifying your truth
