We’re Recruiting for our Youth Development Board!

applications are open for young people aged 14-25 to join our youth development board!

Do you have a passion for social change and affecting positive change in the community?

Do you have a desire to learn more about the third sector and how Comics Youth CIC works?

Do you have an interest in comics, books, activism and/or art?

Then joining our Youth Development Board might be for you!

By joining the Youth Board, you will have the opportunity to join Comics Youth on our organisational journey, offering insight into the experiences of our young people and affecting change within our practices here at Comics Youth.

What you need to know:

  • You will need to attend six meetings per year, either online or in person at our HQ in Birkenhead.

  • This is an 18-month position, but board members will be invited to re-apply should they wish to continue their services after this period.

  • This is an unpaid role, but we will ensure any travel expenses on our behalf are covered and, as above, we look to support your development in your time with us.

  • We will give you advance notice of meetings or dates as we are completely respectful of the fact you have busy lives and other interests that take up your time.

  • Due to the nature of Comics Youth CIC’s work, we would particularly welcome applicants from young people aged 14-25, those from diverse communities and young people from working class backgrounds.
