Big Announcement Time: Comics Youth HQ is Moving!
To our dearest buds, comrades, and pals,
Things are happening here at Comics Youth! Super rad, amazing, exciting things! And we’re very excited to share them with you...
Firstly, you should know that we’re growing as an organisation, which means great things for us and great things for you too! But in order to fully level-up we have to make one major change: Comics Youth HQ is moving from its current home at 76 – 78 Lord Street to a shiny new space located in Suite 303, Tempest Building, Tithebarn Street, L2 2DT
We know that this may evoke some serious feels. Some of you may feel sad about this move, others excited, and many of you may feel nervous about moving from somewhere that’s become so familiar and comfortable and safe.
But we’re also here to reassure you that our new Comics Youth HQ will be just as much of a safe space and just as comfortable as 76 – 78 Lord Street has been. In time, we’re confident that our new HQ will make every one of you feel at home.
Obviously, we’re here to talk this out with any of you who feel concerned about the move (we totally understand how difficult change can be) and we’re here to answer any questions you might have about it all.
For the time being, though, just know that our new HQ will make it easier for us to deliver better art workshops and projects. It’ll also be a quieter and more productive space, perfect for maintaining social connections but also for making the raddest artwork, comics, and zines ever.
Oh, and it also has a roof terrace and beehives on the top! Once the weather gets nice we can all get bougie up there, soak up some sun and make some new bee buddies!
Essentially, what we’re trying to say is that some changes are coming our way at Comics Youth, but all of them are positive. This is basically a killer Pokémon evolution in the making: We started out as Charmander and we grew into a Charmeleon, but now we’re out here in all our blazing glory as Charizard. Change can be scary, but it can also be good.
We will be starting our move from the 3rd March, 2020. Sessions will not be on from the 27th Feb until the 11th March.
