Zine stands for
‘Zuper Interesting New Experience’
right?
Calling all 14-25 year olds passionate about zines and grassroots publishing!
Beyond the Margins is a new youth-led zine project for marginalised young people, aimed at equipping you with the skills to publish your own zines.
You’ll have the opportunity to explore grassroots publication history, printing techniques and creative self-expression methods, all around other likeminded folk.
It will result in you guiding the direction of the Beyond the Margins zine, whether in workshops, or as a paid contributor, editor, or proofreader!
WHEN AND WHERE IS IT?
The project will run in 6 month cycles, taking you from zine inception to publication.
Each cycle includes weekly evening workshops. These will be either:
Wednesdays at 4.30-6.30pm for 18-25 year olds.
Fridays at 4.30-6.30pm for 14-17 year olds.
These workshops will be hybrid – both online and in person at Comics Youth HQ at Make CIC in Birkenhead.
Who can be involved?
To be involved you must:
Be aged between 14 and 25;
