Queer Agenda Peer Mentor Volunteer

Are you a good listener who would like to support and encourage LGBTQIA young people aged 18-25 to achieve their goals? Comics Youth CIC are looking for LGBTQIA people aged 18+ based in the Liverpool City Region to become peer mentors.

Our Peer Mentoring Programme aims to bring together young LGBTQ+ people with shared experiences to offer support in a space where you are both accepted and understood.

Peer Mentoring is a mutually beneficial relationship for those providing and receiving support. As a Peer Mentor you will learn how to use your own experiences, skills and qualities to help other young LGBTQIA young people aged 18-25 make positive changes in their lives. You will be supported throughout your time as a Peer Mentor by a member of the CY team.

We are looking for volunteers based in the Liverpool City Region who identify as LGBTQIA to join our peer mentoring programme.

Mentoring relationships will last for a minimum of a month but are likely to be extended dependent on the needs of your mentee.

Owning to the nature of the role we require a commitment of at least 4.5 months.

What skills do I need?
